ASL announces the availability of the new version 1.3 of Snowtape for the Mac. The new version can be downloaded from: http://www.application-systems.co.uk/snowtape
New Features include:
- Windows Media support, which allows users to record Windows Media streams such as BBC radio or NRJ Radio. Additional radio stations have been added to the radio directory.
- Support of the MMS and the MMS over HTTP protocols and ASX and WSX playlist files.
- Integration with Safari and Firefox. No necessity of installing any other third party plugin to listen to your favorite radio in the browser. The radio stream keeps coming into Snowtape even after the website window has been closed. This also works with a bunch of Internet Radio directories like: Surfmusik, Shoutcast, Icecast, Open Radio Directory and the Radio Box Directory.
- Direct MP3 export, so there is the option now to choose between AAC or MP3 adding mor compatibility outside the iPod and iPhone universe. All audio Metadata is supported through the ID3v2 tags.
- HTTP Authentication is supported for high quality streams that require athentication. The authentication data can be stored in the Mac OS X keychain.
